Process water

Cooling towers.

Cooling circuits face linked issues of biofilm, scale, corrosion and makeup water. Ozone can form part of a recirculating-water control strategy.

Process water

Recirculation changes treatment demand

Review volume, recirculation, blowdown, conductivity, temperature, materials and existing chemical treatment. Inject into a suitable sidestream with mixing and contact; automation and monitoring must match actual tower operation.

Application point

Integrate without losing circuit control

Tower volume alone is insufficient: blowdown, makeup and temperature change the conditions. Ozone is assessed alongside the existing scale and corrosion program.

Injection point, mixing and contact volume are designed for actual flow. Undissolved gas and any residual are managed before water returns to the process.

On-site verification

Track biofilm, water and operation

Track microbiology, water chemistry, circuit condition and chemical use under the operating program.

Sampling points and comparison conditions are defined before claiming a reduction or saving. This helps separate treatment effects from normal process variation.
