Treated water returns to living animals

Consider species, biomass, feeding, biofilter, skimmer and recirculation. Contact and gas or residual removal must occur before water returns to animals; monitoring remains continuous.

In a recirculating system, biofilters and fish must not receive a dose intended for the contact chamber. Verify residual removal before return.

Application is placed before water reaches crops or animals. Filtration, contact and residual removal are adjusted so oxidation occurs inside the treatment loop.

Measure quality while protecting livestock

Measure turbidity, organics, microbiology and animal-welfare indicators around treatment.

Sampling points and comparison conditions are defined before claiming a reduction or saving. This helps separate treatment effects from normal process variation.

Greenhouse irrigation

Recirculated irrigation water can carry organics and biofilm toward emitters and roots. Ozone is assessed in a controlled loop to improve water without exposing crops to residual oxidant.

Assess source, nutrients, drainage, filters, salinity and materials. Inject where mixing and contact are adequate; check residual compatibility before returning water to crops.

Irrigation lines, tanks and ponds

Treatment can be placed in a line, recirculating tank or pond depending on the problem: biofilm, clogging, poor source water or long storage.

A small tank and an irrigation network have very different hydraulics. Study flow, residence time, filtration, mixing, ozone demand and compatibility with crops and other inputs.

How to verify: Compare line pressure and clogging, water quality and agronomic outcomes without attributing every change to ozone.

Foliar treatment with ozonated water

Ozonated water is prepared near the sprayer and applied under an agronomic protocol. Suitability depends on crop, disease pressure and application conditions.

Review tank volume, nozzle flow, time between generation and spraying, coverage, weather and equipment compatibility. Trial on a small area before changing a crop-protection program.

How to verify: Record concentration at application, phytotoxicity, disease pressure and outcomes against comparable plots.
