Leachate often has hard-to-predict loads and composition. Ozone may be a candidate for oxidation testing, but feasibility depends on the actual matrix and pretreatment.

First characterize the stream and define the parameter to change. Then test dose and time, watch for possible byproducts and compare cost with other stages. No universal reduction is promised without testing.

Leachate may need upstream separation or downstream treatment. The question is whether ozone produces a measurable improvement in the contaminant of interest at a viable demand.
Injection point, mixing and contact volume are designed for actual flow. Undissolved gas and any residual are managed before water returns to the process.
On-site verification
Compare treatment response and cost
Track COD, color, target contaminants and any change in biodegradability, as appropriate.
Sampling points and comparison conditions are defined before claiming a reduction or saving. This helps separate treatment effects from normal process variation.
