Wastewater

Industrial effluents.

Food, chemical, paper and pharmaceutical effluents can vary widely. Ozone is assessed as an oxidation or polishing step when a measurable target contaminant exists.

Wastewater

Every industrial discharge has its own matrix

Flow alone is insufficient for sizing. Analyze COD, pH, solids, target compounds and variability; treatability testing helps establish ozone demand, byproducts and the best point in the treatment train.

Application point

Place oxidation within the existing train

A visual improvement does not prove compliance with a discharge or reuse goal. Trials should track the contaminants driving the investment and effects on later treatment stages.

Injection point, mixing and contact volume are designed for actual flow. Undissolved gas and any residual are managed before water returns to the process.

On-site verification

Measure the target compound, not only color

Measure target compounds before and after treatment, together with transferred dose and operational changes.

Sampling points and comparison conditions are defined before claiming a reduction or saving. This helps separate treatment effects from normal process variation.

Next step
